The Immeasurable Love of God

Welcome to Stand Firm on God’s Word podcast, where we equip and disciple women to stand firm with conviction, boldness, and with Dunamis Holy Spirit power.

Have you ever read a passage of Scripture so many times that you thought you totally knew it and were living it? Then one day it suddenly becomes an eye-opening revelation or something totally new?

Today, I want to dig deep into one of my favorite scriptures, Ephesians 3:16–19, which is also one of the foundation scriptures for the Stand Firm community.

When the apostle Paul wrote this he wasn’t simply writing beautiful words. He is revealing what is actually possible for us as believers. Not surface-level fluffy stuff, or about life being about striving or trying. No, these scriptures are about the supernatural power and strength that is within us, who God says we are, and an experience of God’s love that literally takes my breath away every time I read it.

I want to walk through this passage line by line and see what the Lord shows us, because this scripture like many, can literally change your life, if you understand what is being said to us.

Before we begin, stop and take a deep breath. Ask the Holy Spirit to calm your mind and allow you to be open for new revelation, new meaning, and deeper connection to the Lord like you have never had before.

Ephesians 3:16-19 [NLT] I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
