The Lord Directs My Steps

We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. [Proverbs 16:9 NLT]

I just love this verse because, yes we can make all the plans we want for our lives, but the Lord determines the outcome!

This is such a freeing scripture because it takes the burden of the results off our plate, girlfriend. We’ve been talking about vision this month, knowing God’s plan and His vision for our lives.

But we also have to remember this part:
The way that vision is walked out is done in partnership with the Holy Spirit.

Not: “Oh thank You, Lord, for the vision now I’ll just run with it on my own.”
Been there. Done that too. 😅

It works so much better when I stop, listen, and allow myself to be guided by His plan and His direction.

And when I’m following the Lord’s plan, once again — the results are up to Him, not me.

My responsibility is simply to do the next assignment in front of me…then go back and ask Him for the next one.
